My Photo Albums - 1890s to 1959

~ ~ 1890s to 1920s ~ ~

Well, first off there's this picture which ranges from the late 1800s to 2000. Left to Right: My Nana (my mother's mother); My Mother; Me; Erica (my daughter). With our maiden names - Erica is still a maiden. :-) Most of this is Back in the Day. I made this little collage showing the maternal ancestors of my daughter. I made it with PhotoShop.

I've always wondered about this photo: What in the world are they doing? Whistling? My sister, who is in this picture, has no idea. But... She thinks our mother "must have asked us to say lemon or whistle or something..."

Me with "Pretty Boy" the cat when I was little in 1957, I called him Blackie. I loved dressing him up.
Image: girl holding black cat on a couch in house in methuen massachusetts

I LOVE this picture! Linda with a cat on her back. This is one of my favorite pictures of me. My mother made me a circle skirt with cats (or poodles) embroidered or appliquéed on the front - I think it was red. I LOVED that skirt! Our cat Blackie decided to jump on my back, maybe he thought I was a small tree. My mother took the perfect camera shot!

Me, my sister Jacqueline (Jackie) and brother Richard at a lake in New Hampshire in 1959 or 1960 - probably Shadow Lake, my sister and her husband owned a house there. (We often took some time to develop photos.)
Image: Girl, woman and young man at a lake in Massachusetts
I remember two lakes that we used to go to in my youth. This could be either one. Shadow Lake was where my sister and her husband had a cabin in New Hampshire. Forest Lake is in Methuen, Massachusetts and we went there a lot with other family members. Forest Lake was once Welch's Pond and South Pond. It's name was changed when it became part of a forest preservation in 1925 or thereabouts.

Me and my Sister Jackie at a lake in New Hampshire in 1959 - probably Shadow Lake, my sister and her husband owned a house there.
Image: girl and woman at a lake

That's me in the front at 7 years old in 1958. That's my brother Richard in the cool shades behind me and my sister Irene behind him. I don't know where we are - some large lake or maybe it's the ocean. Interesting picture. Unfortunately there is nothing written on the back of the original picture. Also, we often took our time developing pictures.
