Position of the geomagnetic field values after artificially changing the vertical intensity of the geomagnetic field of Armidale by +12%. SimN = simulated northern displacement; SimS = simulated southern displacement. Geomagnetic field values or Armidale (30° 30' S, 151° 42' E) according to DGRF90 for 1 May 1994: 557O0 nT total intensity, = 61.3° inclination. Data from Ficher et al. 2003.
