Things I have done in Bold; things that I haven't done and will never do in red; and things I would like to try in green. This is a list I copied and pasted, so some things I have done are not on here. Last updated January 16, 2012.
- Bought everyone in the bar a drink
- Swam with wild dolphins
- Climbed a mountain (A small one in New Hampshire and another not too bad one here in New Mexico - both were medium climbs)
- Taken a Ferrari for a test drive - I wish
- Been inside the Great Pyramid
- Held a tarantula (one never knows)
- Taken a candlelit bath with someone (not yet)
- Said “I love you” and meant it
- Hugged a tree
- Bungee jumped
- Visited Paris (never been outside of the good old U.S.A.)
- Watched a lightning storm at sea (I was on the shore, at the beach, in Massachusetts where I grew up, and saw plenty of lightning storms off in the distance, out at sea)
- Stayed up all night long and saw the sun rise
- Seen the Northern Lights
- Gone to a huge sports game
- Walked the stairs to the top of the leaning Tower of Pisa
- Grown and eaten your own vegetables
- Touched an iceberg
- Slept under the stars
- Changed a baby’s diaper (many, many times: nieces, nephews, my daughter, etc.)
- Taken a trip in a hot air balloon
- Watched a meteor shower
- Gotten drunk on champagne
- Given more than you can afford to charity
- Looked up at the night sky through a telescope
- Had an uncontrollable giggling fit at the worst possible moment
- Had a food fight
- Bet on a winning horse (I only bet like a couple of dollars - this was back in the day, in New Hampshire, USA)
- Asked out a stranger
- Had a snowball fight
- Screamed as loudly as you possibly can (absolutely! Mostly I remember the times when I was little, and got sent to my room for doing something wrong)
- Held a lamb
- Seen a total eclipse - of the moon, Lunar eclipse, several times. Not a total solar eclipse, though - I'd like to see one of those.
- Ridden a roller coaster (Yep!)
- Hit a home run
- Danced like a fool and didn’t care who was looking
- Adopted an accent for an entire day
- Actually felt happy about your life, even for just a moment
- Had two hard drives for your computer (I did! I got rid of the one with the two hard drives - now I have a laptop with one drive)
- Visited all 50 states (I assume you mean the U.S.A. - States I have visited (including those where I have lived): Massachusetts (was born here), Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and California)
- Taken care of someone who was drunk
- Had amazing friends (still have)
- Danced with a stranger in a foreign country (never been to a foreign country!)
- Watched whales
- Stolen a sign
- Backpacked in Europe
- Taken a road-trip (many times)
- Gone rock climbing (not at my age)
- Midnight walk on the beach
- Gone sky diving (almost did once - don't even want to think about it now)
- Visited Ireland (I'm one eighth Irish! My maternal grandfather lived in Ireland when he was young)
- Been heartbroken longer than you were actually in love
- In a restaurant, sat at a stranger’s table and had a meal with them
- Visited Japan
- Milked a cow
- Alphabetized your CDs
- Pretended to be a superhero
- Sung karaoke (Yes! and it was fun!)
- Lounged around in bed all day (only when I was sick)
- Played touch football
- Gone scuba diving
- Kissed in the rain
- Played in the mud
- Played in the rain
- Gone to a drive-in theater (many times)
- Visited the Great Wall of China
- Started a business
- Fallen in love and not had your heart broken (Well, yeah! I married him!)
- Toured ancient sites (in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New Mexico at least)
- Taken a martial arts class (does Tai Chi and Chi Quong count?)
- Played D&D for more than 6 hours straight (D&D is Dungeons and Dragons - a game that a lot of people are obsessed about. :-) )
- Gotten married (Twice to the same man in December of 1977 and in June of 2008)
- Been in a movie
- Crashed a party
- Gotten divorced
- Gone without food for 5 days
- Made cookies from scratch
- Won first prize in a costume contest
- Ridden a gondola in Venice
- Gotten a tattoo
- Rafted the Snake River
- Been on television news programs as an “expert”
- Gotten flowers for no reason
- Performed on stage
- Been to Las Vegas - Been to Reno though
- Recorded music (In the past, on the computer using a computer program that makes music - I should do that again!)
- Eaten shark
- Kissed on the first date
- Gone to Thailand
- Bought a house
- Been in a combat zone (no thanks)
- Buried one/both of your parents (my mother died in 2003, my father in 2004; she was 90, he was 96)
- Been on a cruise ship
- Spoken more than one language fluently
- Performed in Rocky Horror
- Raised children (one child - who is now 30 years old and lives in Los Angeles, California)
- Followed your favorite band/singer on tour
- Passed out cold (fainted in church several times when I was younger - It was too darn hot and it was "that time of the month" for me)
- Taken an exotic bicycle tour in a foreign country
- Picked up and moved to another city to just start over (several times)
- Walked the Golden Gate Bridge
- Sang loudly in the car, and didn’t stop when you knew someone was looking
- Had plastic surgery
- Survived an accident that you shouldn’t have survived
- Wrote articles for a large publication
- Lost over 100 pounds
- Held someone while they were having a flashback
- Piloted an airplane
- Touched a stingray
- Broken someone’s heart
- Helped an animal give birth (If I ever did I don't remember - I have watched kittens being born)
- Won money on a T.V. game show
- Broken a bone - actually this is a good one to never have done
- Gone on an African photo safari
- Had a facial part pierced other than your ears (no thanks)
- Fired a rifle, shotgun, or pistol (If I ever did I don't remember - Actually, I don't think I've ever touched a firearm)
- Eaten mushrooms that were gathered in the wild
- Ridden a horse
- Had major surgery
- Had a snake as a pet
- Hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon
- Slept for more than 30 hours over the course of 48 hours (when I was sick)
- Visited more foreign countries than U.S. states
- Visited all 7 continents
- Taken a canoe trip that lasted more than 2 days (I've only been in a canoe once - when I was a teenager and only for part of a day)
- Eaten kangaroo meat
- Eaten sushi (vegetarian sushi)
- Had your picture in the newspaper
- Changed someone’s mind about something you care deeply about
- Gone back to school (went to college for the first time when I was 51!)
- Parasailed
- Touched a cockroach
- Eaten fried green tomatoes
- Read The Iliad - and the Odyssey (Maybe, maybe not; I can't really remember)
- Selected one “important” author who you missed in school, and read
- Killed and prepared an animal for eating
- Skipped all your [high] school reunions (haven't attended one yet)
- Communicated with someone without sharing a common spoken language (somewhat)
- Been elected to public office
- Written your own computer language
- Thought to yourself that you’re living your dream (my dream is to be rich - haven't gotten there - yet!)
- Had to put someone you love into hospice care
- Built your own PC from parts - I've put parts into PCs - back in the day.
- Sold your own artwork to someone who didn’t know you
- Had a booth at a street fair
- Dyed your hair (all kinds of colors including pink)
- Been a DJ
- Shaved your head
- Caused a car accident
- Saved someone’s life
A bit more about me: I am 57 years old, I live in Taos, New Mexico; I was born in Massachusetts. I have lived in several other states in the USA. All the states I have lived in are: Massachusetts, New York, Iowa, Missouri, California, Nevada. I am remarried to the man I originally married in 1977 and divorced in 2000. We have a wonderful, lovely daughter who is now 27 and lives in Los Angeles, California. See picture below.
